From the Presidents Playbook

Another football season is just around the corner. I would like to welcome you all to the beginning of our 15th season. I also want to send out a special "THANKS" to our board members, coaches and volunteers that make this association work. We could not do it without these hard working people.

As you know, our participants are challenged not only on the gridiron, but also in the classroom and in the community. We stress character, courage and respect in an effort to make them not only good student-athletes, but also future leaders of tomorrow.

LYF&C are charter members of the Southeast Texas Junior Football League. Last year was a banner year for our Association and the STJFL when we joined forces with USA Football. Through USA and with emphasis on concussion and heat related matters, we offer our players and cheerleaders the very best and most up to date instructions possible.

We have several goals this year that include adding a sprinkler system to the field and fencing the field for safety and of course sending more of our teams to the USA playoffs. We were fortunate enough last season to get our Senior Blue squad all the way to the USA State Championships in San Antonio. It was quite an experience, and a "Special Moment in Time." Moreover, it was satisfying to watch and see players spending quality time with parents, grandparents, friends and neighbors all during the playoff run. Join me and lets get on board with LYF&C this year and let's "Turn It Loose."
